‘The Jungle Jinni’, is a collaborative storybook guided by the principles of The Earth Charter, about an ordinary human born into a magical jungle where she is surrounded by so much beauty and greatness that she struggles to find her own unique place in her world. She begins borrowing from the beauty of nature that surrounds her to fit in, but how far will she go to belong?
The answer to this question and ending to the story remain in the audience’s hands, much like the current environmental crisis. The Jungle Jinni invites each reader to become the protagonist, author, and teacher to finish the tale. The Jungle Jinn storybook includes access to a collaborative website where learners and educators can find the tools to finish the story and share their vision of the world, with the world. Our continuously expanding library of curricula covers various themes of environmental education, such as over consumption, overproduction and managing eco-anxiety, designed by experts in the fields.
Pairing storytelling with interactive curricula, we hope to encourage new students of the environment, to learn and engage with the environment in practical and meaningful ways, that empower them to not only imagine a new world, but know that they have the tangible power to create it.
